I have identified the big storage capacitors but I am not sure about the rectifier diodes supplying the big storage capacitor(s) can you give me more of a clue what i am looking for & what test results I should get from them using a multimeter. Also can I damage any of the components using a multimeter, Regards pop

There are usually 4 together, black & cylindrical with a band round one end. Where the mains comes onto the board. If there is a shorted one then the resistance will be signigicantly different from the others, probably only a few ohms.

Sometimes they are moudled into a 4 leg block I dont know about this particular TV

Check the rectifier diodes supplying the big storage capacitor(s) with a multimeter. One of them might have gone short circuit.

I had the Same issue. on a 50PF9431D/37 set. Many Plasma Set's use a LJ44-00118A PS-505-PH Power supply from Samsung. Known to have this common problem. If you can, or have a friend that can Solder components?. Unplug your set remove the back panel & locate your power supply. It will be the PCB in the center of the set just above the Video/Audio connections. http://www.shopjimmy.com/power-supply-unit-lj44-00118a-from-philips-50mf231d-40.htm. Link to a photo of the PCB. Make a note of the location of all cable connections then unplug them all. Un-install PCB, Check a Fuse first. I believe their is 5 or 6 of them on the PCB. Then replace the two 3300uf 10v 105C Radial capacitors at C8060 & C8059. The location of the caps are in the Lower bottom edge of the PCB. A local shop may Carrie them if not, digi-key has them. Part # http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=493-1754-ND. Total cost was $7 with S/H.

Magnavox 37MF437B/37 keeps blowing fuses

Either a short somewhere---which fuse? The one at the power cord or what?

Other possible reason is wrong fuse----many of the fuses in these sets are special-----if you go and buy some Generic ones--hardware store or Radio Shack the fuse even with same amperage/voltage rating may blow at turn on instantly for no reason------

Fuse keeps blowing!

The fuel injection fuse should also power the injectors. If the fuse is blowing, I would think one of the injectors has shorted to ground.
Have you checked them ?

No power or light, plus power supply keeps blowing fuse

you have a short most likely on the power supply but could be on the mainboard, inverter board, av/input board. The T-con board is fused and should blow its fuse before blowing the fuse on the power supply. I'm going with a faulty power supply, most likely a shorted Mosfet.

F9A03 fuse on main power board keeps blowing. tried replaceing it and blew again

This indicates an electrical short causing the fuse to "safety". Check your house wiring first e.g. the plug and then precede from there.

RCA D52W20 52 Fuse problem

Well you could always use a bigger fuse but I would not advise to do it, it could and most likely will blow tv not fuse. Fuses ussually blow from a short or power surge. If it is new or under warranty I would return it for replacement or repair.

Keeps blowing fuses

When a fuse keeps blowing, that is an indication that some component has failed and the circuit is drawing too much current. Most likely it is a problem in the power supply section or high voltage / flyback section.

Sorry to say, you will need to take it to be serviced.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!
