Do you have the Xp disk? If so , you can call Micro Soft directly and theny will give you the key, with no problem.

Reinstallment of drivers after fresh system installation of XP

Hello,

You can get the drivers in the website of your computer's manufacturer. After installing the drivers, you can keep them updated to make sure that you won't get any driver issues in the future. You can use RadarSync to keep them updated without you doing anything in your end.

Require driver for windows 7 64bit please

I have run into this issue a couple times recently with this exact model & a handfull of other various Monitor's , http://www.filefactory.com/file/cbc1b15/n/ADIMonitorV97.zip , here is a link to the drivers I used on Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium , I installed using compatibility mode ( right click the .exe , select properties from the drop down menu , select the compatibility tab , select run in " windows xp sp2 " mode & check the box at the bottom " run as administrator " . Also you might want to disable " UAC " ( open the control panel , select users , select change UAC settings , drag the slider all the way down to disable , then click apply & reboot your pc for it to take effect .

Just updated from XP to windows 7 64bit. At boot

Your Video driver is NOT compatible with Win 7. It's that simple unless you can get a Win 7 64 bit Driver, you will always have problems, It may work in Compatability mode, for XP SP2, it's worth a try.

Can I upgrade my CompaqMV720 computer from Windows ME to Windows XP? If so, how?

I would think that you mast likely can do it. You need a Windows XP disk with a legitimate install key (or Microsoft will give you a hassel). When you are ready to upgrade, turn on or restart your computer and press [Delete] to enter the BIOS. Go to the Boot menu and change the boot order so that your CD/DVD drive is first.
Open the drive and put Windows XP disk in. Press the F10 key to save the changes and exit. when the computer restarts, it will provide several start options. Choose the one that will install Windows XP. From there you just follow the prompts.

Slow screen and no sound

Could you please specify some things like how big is your hdd & how much memory do you have. These 2 things are very important when installing a new operating system like xp & up.
Sounds like you may need another one of the sound drivers. Do you have the Realtek97 Audio driver?
And is your standby option greyed out when you click start & turn off computer? This will be a video driver issue I'm pretty sure. When you drag a window quickly across the screen do you see it like streaks or what exactly do you mean by "slow screen"?
