I did that once, left it like that for about 3 months till I was bored and decided to mess with it. I then remembered It had a Reset button. Press that and everything should be back to narmal.

Cannot online without the yellow cable ? then what is wireless/

You may need to initiate the wireless network setup for your device. To start this, plug in the ethernet cable, and in a browser, type 192.168.0.1 and you will be greeted with either a login screen or a setup screen. if you have a login screen, try the default login:admin for username and password for password. If that doesn't work, try admin for both fields. Once on the setup screen, open a new tab and navigate to http://support.dlink.com/emulators/wbr2310/index.htm. From here, you have a setup wizard and guide for setting it up manually. Hope all goes well.

I have a d-link wbr2310 router with no hook up instructions what do i do to hook it up to my modem

If you have a wireless router and it is connected to the DSLor cable modem then - To connect to your wireless router, the router needsits wireless settings to be configured with the SSID, encryption key etc., alsothe wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured withthese router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers cancommunicate with your wireless router and access the Internet via the DSL or cable modem.

Trying to install d-link

try user: admin and password: admin.

Assuming you are installing fresh, if it doesnt take admin admin.

Try resetting the device. Follow instructions to reset the Dlink router
ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/wbr2310/Manual/wbr2310_manual_10.zip

A pin hole with Reset written over it, near to power socket.

After resettings any previous password will be reset to default
user: admin, password: nothing just hit enter

Hope this helps

Lost the disc to run the router, is there anything I can do?

unplug and replug the cable modem and the router. You don't need the setup disc just type the ip address of the router into your browser. most dlinks are 192.168.0.1 and password is admin (unless you changed it). For a cable modem you want it set to DHCP configuration.

I cannot get in to 192.168.0.1

http://192.168.0.1 is the default setting
if there is no response at all, the setting has been changed, the available addresses are in the range 192.168.*.* hunt for it, it is a security function, but sucks when nobody remembers what it was changed to.
If there is a password screen, enter the password.
If niether can be remembered, the router can be returned to 'out of the box' by the reset hole on the port side. then all the settings re-entered
