Re: no picture

I would pull the cover off to see if the tube and the board on the CRT are not damaged. If it looks ok, turn set on and observe if there is any activity visible at the neck of the CRT (light). Wehn a set with a large tube starts-up, it wil make a fuzzt crackle noise fro the high voltage charge in the tube. If non of this is happening, check main board for cracks. Unit is probably salvageable for point to point solder job, but as far aspart replacement for HV power supply, I would not do it. It is not cost effective.

Forgive me I am out of touch with modern techno stuff but I think this is some media streaming gizmo if so then your TV would need possibly HDMI or at least a 15 pin svga port found on flatscreens. Most older TV's would have an aerial socket, scart and phonos of one sort or another (with the odd BNC and DIN type thrown in).
Now if this is so, I doubt you will manage it at all your ROKU is chucking images out at a rate that is far beyond any old system to work with. A modulator say those £30 thingys that have a scart or phonos can only cope with basic video or rgb.
Your ROKU would have to "slum" it down to RGB or COMPONENT level before you could get that converted down to say a modulator with basic video by then its quality would be very gone. To understand deeper look for the word Scaler in up and down this is a device to alter images from one format to another found in say TV systems, though for you I would get a more modern flatscreen that has suitable sockets to match your ROKU plenty of say older models with less features than their newer cousins and have still older style connectors for older secondary equipment (video) to work with.
I am working a bit by guesswork over what you have there to work with, some convertions are easier less complex than others.
Hope this helps a little.......

Turns off when u turn it on

You probably have a bad flyback transformer. This is a common problem for this set. A 32" is worth a check out fee.

My RCA 32 ' SDTV TrueFlat doesn't come on

sounds like you have the parental lock on to lock the buttons on the tv and the remote look in your manual for the tv to see how to fix it and if you dont have it there should be one online

Tv powers on but light just blinks and no picture or volume

A blinking power light would indicate a problem on the chassis board located inside the tv. Possibly a failed flyback or other electronic component. Its not cost effective to repair when you can invest in new tv for the same cost as repairing the defective tv. I should also mentioned the danger of dyi troubleshooting of the components inside the tv. I do not recommend unless you are familiar with properly discharging the tube to avoid electrical shock.

I doubt the cats caused the problem unless the plug was far enough out to make intermittent contact, possbily causing a power spike in the set. It's hard to say from here. However, if you are not getting any picture or sound, it could be as simple as having nothing plugged into the input the set is 'looking' at, such as A/V 1 not having anything connected to it, and the set it 'looking' for a signal there. If you're sure that's not it, then you'll need to have someone qualified to fix it to look at it.

Hope this helps, and please rate my advice, good OR bad.

Good luck!
