1.Unplug the microwave and set it on a table or workbench. If you have a built-in microwave, you may have to remove some mounting screws or retention clips to get the microwave out of the support bracket. Open the door and take out the glass tray.
2.Pry off a corner of the plastic panel on the inside of the door with a screwdriver or butter knife. Once it is loose, work the screwdriver or knife all the way around the glass and remove the panel.
3.Ask someone to hold the microwave door as you disconnect it from the hinges. Depending on the design of your microwave door, you may have to remove a set of screws or slide a pin out of the hinge to release the door. Remove and discard the old door.
4.Have your assistant hold the replacement door up to the hinges. Attach the door to the hinges by reversing the previous step. Snap the plastic inner panel into place around the glass. Move the microwave back to its original location. Insert and tighten the necessary mounting screws if you are working on a built-in microwave. Set the glass tray back inside the microwave and close the door.
Fuses are cheap. UNPLUG IT FIRST! Remove the top plastic grill by pushing the top edges down and tilt the top of it out. VERY CARFULL it is cheap plastic and easy to break the tabs. You will then see a single screw at the top of the key pad, remove it. Then the entire key pad "Slides Up" has little CHEAP plastic hooks on the left and metal hooks on the right. Once you slide it (key pad) up, it should fold down like a door. The fuse is on the right side and there is a BLACK plastic bag with the tech specs inside top right. THAT BEING SAID, the loud pop very likely was NOT the fuse. Probably a diode, some kind of short or the magnatron. But as I said fuses are cheap and easy to tell if bad. Just look at it (fuse). AGAIN UNPLUG IT FIRST and let it set for an hour or two BEFORE working on it. It also has a VERY LARGE HV Capacitor in it.
If the model number you have this question listed under is correct, there are two possible parts based on your question. There is the carousel ring, that turns the glass tray, and there is the small plastic coupler that the center of the glass tray is supported by. The part numbers are as follows:
Carousel ring - WB06X10513
Coupler - WB06X10564
You can view and excellent exploded view diagram of this microwave at pcappliancerepair.com. The parts I mention are listed under Diagram 1151005 as items 84 and 101 respectively.
To replace the coupler, you simply remove the glass tray and gently pry straight up. The coupler will pull off of the turn table motor shaft. Insert the new coupler and press on to the shaft.
If this is not the correct model number, please post back with your correct information so that I may be able to provide you with better assistance. I hope this helps you.
Hello there: from what you have told me leads me to believe that the fuse that is inside of it has blown and is in need of replacement> to do this. (1) remove the screws on the back for the cover should be about 6 or 8 (2) turn the unit over and you will see more screws for the cover remove them . (3) now pull the cover off the unit it should slide back towards you ** this may be kind of hard so a flattip screwdriver is a good tool to use to get the cover to slide off. (4) once the cover is removed look towards the front and you will see the wires and a lightbulb there should be a electronic board that the fuse is on now simply remove it the fuse and get a new one from either a appliance store or even a automobile parts store. (5) put the new fuse in and before you put the cover on plug in the unit and see if it all works if so great just put the cover back on and replace all of the screws and you are good to go YEA !!! if not than the board that the fuse came from is bad and needs to be replaced ok I hope that this has been really helpfull for you best regards michael
If you need a replacement turntable coupler, you can find this part listed as item number 942560 at repairclinic.com. Just type in your model number.
To replace, all you need to do is carefully slide something under the existing coupler (if you can) and pry up. The coupler will pull off the motor shaft.
If you cannot access the coupler due to the way it was broken, simply remove the bottom panel UNDER the oven. With the panel removed, locate the small turntable motor and loosen the mounting screws to remove. The coupler should be easily accessible with the motor out of the unit. Make sure you reinstall the turntable motor and bottom panel BEFORE you try to install the new coupler. The coupler needs to be installed from inside the oven cavity by placing it in the opening in the oven floor and pushing straight down onto the motor shaft.
