I am confused as to what kind of oil i should be using in the fryer-

I would use either a vegetable oit or peanut oil. It really doesn't matter which kind as long as you keep the coils covered or the pot filled with oil.

The gas come through when the oil is cold, but when the oil hat enough the gas will cut off completely even without the pilot light, i wander why this happen? please let me know!

The hi limit may be tripping prematurely or the thermostat has its contacts stuck heating the oil temp high enough to trip the hi limit.
Kindly check those two components.

Can oil be reused in a deep fryer


Hi there!
Once the oil is saturated, you have to replace it and properly dispose used oil.
If you have an oil filtering machine, you can filter used oil to remove impurities with the use of magnesol.

How much oil do I add to the fryer. is there a fill line


the oil depends on the food item you intent to fry and the size and quantity. If there is only few items then use oil to just dip them in soaked but if there is more items to be done , then you can have the to be fried food just having the fully dipped level of oil.
Since the oil which is fried once is never used, it is good to use the least quantity that is needed so as not to waste oil.
Hence there is no specific fill line, but your Logic..

The product that you put in the oil should be room temp,if not this will happen.

What kind of oil (vegtable or corn oil )


Hi!

Please use blended vegetable oil, pure corn oil, sunflower oil,
soybean oil or grapeseed (canola oil) because these oils have a high
smoke point. Peanut oil is not recommended because it greatly
impacts the flavor.

• Oils should never be mixed when deep frying.
• High heat, water, and burnt food particles break down the oil’s smoke
point.
• Replace oil if you notice:
- Excessive smoking at normal temperatures
- Strong oil discoloration
- A rancid smell
- Excessive foaming around the frying food

Using peanut oil in GE deep fat fryer


Peanut oil contains oxcylic acid and could cause premature wear on your fryer.
