Mitsubishi WD-62528 error code 45

Press menu and input on front of TV for 5 seconds. Green light will flash two digit code 5 times. '12' is no error(no problem.)

Not going to fix that if the set even has that (which I doubt). Was the lamp a Mitsubishi or a generic cheap replacement?

when set goes off look to see if lamp is off or on, If you have to turn set back on or when its off, do the sets self check--press and hold both the menu and device buttons at same time for 5 second and release both---power light should blink a digit error code like 1,2, blinks pause and repeat that (1,2 is no error found and 3,7 is lamp issue.

Same thing on my tv after replacing lamp. Lamp manufacturer advised me that after changing bulb, tv must be reset or tv will go into safety mode and will not turn on. To do this on my model WD-65734 you must hold reset button in with a pen or paperclip for about 10 secs.The LED will start blinking for a few mins. When itstops you need to unplug tv set for about 1 hour. After this the tv will be reset.

1. Turn the tv off and unplug it. 2. carefully access the back of the tv. 3. when facing the back of the tv on the lower left hand side there is a cover held on by two phillips screws remove this cover. 4. After cover is removed you can see the lamp which is also held in by two phillips screws, these screws only loosen and do not completely remove from the lamp. 5. after loosening the screws there is a handle in the center of the lamp, take the lamp by the handle and remove it from the tv. 6. reverse this process to install lamp.

I hope this helps you. After you replace your lamp make sure you reset the hours for your lamp. Press tv menu, select the setup menu, and then select the lamp reminder option to reset hours to zero.

blue screen usually is signal related. it will shut down after a few minutes if it doesnt detect a signal.

Hi, I'm not a service expert. I too own a WD-62528 DLP TV with exactly the same problem. Manufacture date Nov. 2005.

I have found in another forum (CNET) that this is a very well known problem. And that Mitsubishi (MDEA) is not taking responsibility for it. A group of people tried to make a Class Lawsuit but it was rejected. Also other people found that this TV actually does not display 1080i resolution, that is a separate problem from the lamp issue.

If you are able to solve this problem with the TV (blinking lights requesting a new lamp all the time and TV turning off by itself), please let me know. If you want a link to the other forum, let me know and I will send the link.

Also, please don't be discouraged from trying to find a solution. Keep trying.

Your lamp has expired, replace it and make sure that you reset the lamp to 0 after replacement.

Check your lamp; it may have blown. Sound, no picture and a red light are classis signs a lamp has failed.

hold the menu bottun for 10 seconds
after press power

see if that works
