Hi there, My monitor got blank. There is no display in the monitor, i checked on other computer also. I checked the ciruit and found the irregular voltage at SM transformer. Does the voltage at the pin no. 1 of SM transformer is higher than the voltage given with pin no. 4 of it.
Does the thermistor sounds beep when checked with multimeter, I don't have CRO to check and I am willing to check it myself. As I have learned the maintainance course also.
And tell me some technique to check the voltage after the SM transformer. The EHT also doesn't produce I think the power supply is out.

when you say monitor can't be found did you mean the monitor has no reactions when you turn on your pc?
here are some test you may need to do to know which part is faulty 1. Turn on your computer, did it display the monitor's logo on screen? When it does monitor is good, when only blank screen it could be the vga cable or the video card. 2. See if the led indication lit. When it lit to steady green, it's good signal is coming in from the video card. It should be followed by screen display. If no display it could be the backlight inverter lamp busted or faulty inverter board. When lit green then turns red, no signal coming from the video card. Check vga cable if fix properly to both monitor and video card. Or may need to reseat properly connection of video card from the motherboard. If no led indication lamp, then monitor is dead. Check ac power cord for continuity using multitester. Check power supply section in the monitor, replaced bulged or blown capacitor with exact value, this components were the first to get affected when lcd monitor failed o turn on. 3. When computer was turned on got display and then monitor turns black, go check the vga cable, Fix the connection properly or may need to replace it with new one. 4. When no signal appears or display blank screen after logo, then check video card. First remedy is to disconnect it the reseat properly to the motherboard. If this have no effect change your video card.
go follow these steps and let me know which is closely to your problem so I can give you a good advise.
first i confirmed that the problem was in lcd.then i predicted that some display chip on the motherboard are getting heat.due to which the display was performing irregular then i switch on A/C of my room.and the temperature was cool. and the monitor was working fine.
If tried the monitor on two other computers with the same result -- definitly your monitor is faulty. Take it to the repair shop. To make double sure, run your computer with another monitor. If everything is fine now; you can blame the monitor.
Can I assume (?) you re-tried firmly checking each cable connection and the power supply is soundly in place including checking the fuse in the plug That's all I can suggest as the things I would do if in your shoes.
Hi this is the way how to examine what's wrong with your LCD
monitors. Power on both CPU and monitor. After going blank, you
check that you can see the image on the screen by shining a flashlight into the
screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a look very
closely. If you can see the icons or any image, there will be a minor problem.
Like me, I can see window image using flashlight and check lamps inside. Some
of them were broken and it is easily replaced. If you cannot see anything on
the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board. If you have
soldering tool and want to fix it by yourself, check the caps first. It may
cause this problem. Some caps might show leaking or burn spot on the board
because of too high temp. If you don't have soldering tool, you better go get a
technician to do so.
