I have a phillips rear projection tv model no 55PP8620/79. Its showing a a red haze and poor picture quality. How do I fix this?

If the red haze is not convergence---that requires parts.

The set has three picture tubes---with set unplugged and back cover removed clean the three large lens that are topside---as for the red haze a quick way to know what is wrong is with set on turn the color to zero----what color is the screen? Should be black and white--if red to some degree tracking or screen controls may need adjusting inside the set---Yellow picture in that situation is a different issue.

Squeeks and creeks from the front right wheel on my honda civic

you could have 2 problems. steering leak and poss a bearing. jack up the car and spin the right front wheel, makes noise there is a problem. if the noise only happens when you turn, with tire off turn the wheel and watch.

No picture on my sony kds-50a3000 red blinking light at lamp spot

If by noise, you mean a loud, audible pop--then it's your lamp that imploded.

You should be able to just pop off the cover on the side (right side if you are facing the front of the set), remove the internal lamp cover (if present) and yank (I mean, gently pull) out your lamp.

Look for all the bright particles of glass inside your newly imploded lamp. Replace with a Sony original, as these sets can chew through generic lamps very fast.

****

Now, if by noise you mean something else, please elaborate.

Squaky nose in maytag gas dryer model mdg3000aww

Here we go. First unplug the unit. Remove the front panel by removing the 4 phillips screws just inside the door (on the hinges and just opposite). Next remove the greenish/ brown 5/16 screws that hold the front panel in. There are wires still connected (door switch and moisture sensor) but if you swing it to the side, you can leave them connected and still procede. Next, you have to reach underneath (very difficult to see this so you will have to do it by feel) There is a belt that wraps around the drum. On the underneath side of the drum as you follow the belt it wraps around the motor pulley (small wheel) and the tensioner pulley (bigger wheel just to the right). Now with one hand, move the larger pulley towards the msaller one. This will give you slack and you can take the belt off both pulleys. Now pull the drum forward. There you have the inner workings left. Now, there are 3 wheels. 2 black and 1 white. Your squeeking noise will be coming from the one that doesn't turn freely. You can get the replacement wheel from your local appliance parts store or on line from the manufatrues web site. However, if you do have to wait for the part, take the wheel off the shaft and wipe off the inside race of the wheel and the shaft for temporarily relife and useage.

Colour misalignment and focus

Inside of the tube assembly, there is a cooling liquid. This could be a job to change, and then re-adjust everything. It is also possible that on top of this, there are problems with the convergence and bias control circuits.

Typical repairs can run in the area of about $400 to about $800 depending on the amount of work and type of parts required.

Personaly, I would go out and get a good Plasma or LCD TV at this point!

sound s like the HV generator (flyback) This is repairable with a new flyback if that is indeed whats happening. Take the back off and dont touch anything but try powering up the set and see if the noise is coming from a part that looks like this with 4533b6a8.jpg big red wire coming from
