I have the same problem on my Dell Latitude CPx as what hebert9588 describes. I've been ignoring it for years using an external keyboard but finally tried different things (changing BIOS settings as well as this Fn+F12+NumLk that jackie1969uk describes in http://www.fixya.com/support/t1629106-fuction_botton_stuck_press_fn_button and it's healed! Thank you!

I don't have a lap top but a PC and when I type anything it comes up with numbers instead of letters. I don't have a fn key so what do I do?

Hi.

You have your Number Lock on. Look in at the top right of the keyboard for a key which says Num Lock on it and press that key. That will remove the Number Lock and you will be able to type letters as normal.

Regards.

My computer keyboard is typing numbers instead of letters.. any suggestions on how to fix it

This is because most notebook keyboards have a number pad incorporated into the right-hand side of the keyboard. Numbers are being typed because the NumLock is active.
To disable this function press the NumLock key (might be marked NumLock or have a symbol that looks like a calculator on it) on the keyboard (you might need to press the Fn function key and the NumLock simultaneously).

I Need to Turn On Wirless Sitch, HowCn I Do that?

For your Everex Everex StepNote VA4103M, the wireless switch is:

Function + F2

The Function button is located at the bottom-left portion of the keyboard (is "Fn" in blue letters. Depress and hold "Fn" and then press "F2" (top of keyboard). You will notice that the wireless on/off light will then turn on (located by your right wrist as you type).

Hope it helps!

Blue characters on the keyboard when I type

It is a combination of key known as "Function" (Fn, for short). You have to press it and hold while pressing other keys showing the blue letters on it. The most common use is to make a virtual Numerical Keypad on laptops, so you can perform calculations. To be back to normal mode, you need to press FN+F8 (or the key with the Calculator icon).

Compaq Presario C700 numbers showing up instead of letters

Either address your "Num Lock" Key keyboard or your "Fn" Key on your keyboard. Either of these, or a combination of both should solve the issue.

Please let us know if you need anything else.

My keyboard don't work correctly; compaq presario B1900

You should looke for a button called Fn. Normally located at the bottome left hand corner on certain laptops. Unsure on theyour model. Holding down Fn+Num Lock should release the num off the keyboard.
