Cd changer is mainly a mechanical unit, most common problems are caused by gears and dirty lens.
Try disconnecting the cd changer power cable and connecting it back, if it reset the changer it will restart working normally, if not you have to replace or take out for repair the cd changer.

Hi,

I would venture that the main B+ wire of the Blaupunkt CD Changer is not connected to an always on B+12 such as the positive terminal of the battery. This wire is responsible for memory/location/track last play retention. The other B+ of the CD Changer is the remote trigger on which is fed by and from the head unit. This in effect makes the unit operate with two (2) B+,an always on and a triggered on.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Burn cd off of computer tryed to play it in pioneer and it says fmtread error 11

hi this sounds like you have burnt it in the wrong media type file, you may have burnt it as a WMA windows media audio, which do not play on normal CD players, you will have to try burning as either CDA ( standard cd audio ) or if it will play it, try MP3..........hope this helps

if you cant see a physical cut or **** in the rubber surround or anywere else you can try to check the wires going from the plug to the actualy speaker itself on the back of the speaker if those are fine then its probably blown if its not that old you can try and contact jl and see if they will replace them i know kicker has some kind of replacement system in play not sure of jl

We eventually tried loading another CD to fill the one vacant spot we knew was in the changer even though we'd tried that before without success. This time it seems that we fluked it just as it was trying to eject CD 1 again and - somehow - the CD we were tryng to insert must have lifted the rim of the one that was stuck and it suddenly ejected. The remaining 4 CD's that were inside the changer but not even recognised, then started re-loading so it appears that they were all jammed up together. Once they'd reloaded we were able to eject them all successfully then reload.
We're not sure but think that it may have happened when the eject button was originally pressed once to eject CD 6 then, in error, held down for a 'eject all' procedure and the changer has become confused with both instructions.
