Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W35 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Switching b/n internal and memory stick

Hi, I had bought Sony cybershot DSC-w35 model digital cam recently. Unfortunately my cam fell down. After that cam's memory is switching between the internal memory and the memory stick automatically and i use get a message "Access" while the memory switches between the internal and the memory stick. I had given the cam for servicing in the sony servicing center. They had changed the memory stick chamber also but still the problem persists.

Re: switching b/n internal and memory stick

If they mendted it and you still have the problem. Then they did not do a proper job- did they? So send it back with full detail of the last repair ans tell them to do it properly at their own expense

How can i use sony w35 digital camera as web cam ?

Unfortunately you can't. The DSC-W35 is designed to store images (and incidentally videos) to memory, not to stream live videos to another device.

I know that wasn't the answer you wanted to see, but there it is.

Yes, you need to have memory stick because camera has limited internal memory that can store few pictures only.
Put new memory card, format it through camera Menu and copy internal memory pictures to memory stick, take our memory card from camera and delete internal memory pictures either one by one or format internal memory through camera Menu.

My sony cybershot 12x camera is acting as if the batteries are bad and I have tried several new batteries so that's not the problem. It makes the sound as if it's turning on but won't come on or if it does...

After reading everything, I'd say it is an internal error. Unfortunately digital cameras are so expensive to fix, you might as well just buy another camera.

Call Sony and ask them what they think, chances are they've seen this problem at least once before and would be a way bigger help than me. The repair might be cheaper than buying a new camera. The H2 is pretty decent.

There is a reset button on many Sony digital cameras.
Here is a link to how to do it:
Follow the instructions.
If that does not work, then repairs are needed.

If Sony 'Repaired' it and the problem persist then they did not do a proper job. Send it back with a full explanation and demand a proper fix.
