Question about Fuji Finepix S9600 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Fujipix S9600 - just a white screen - can't get to any menus.

Could this be an SD card problem - have had trouble putting it in.

The s9600 does not use sd carde, it uses xd and cf, you might have damagesd the camera by forcing the wrong type of card in, fujifilm's repair center might be able to fix it, but it might be broken too badly

My sd card wont read. it says that its not initialized. i flipped the thing in the sd card but nothing changed. how do i get my card to work. it worked fine until i put the sd card in the printer over...

Had you ever initialized (formatted) the card, especially when you first got it? If not, an unformatted card will work fine initially, but almost always corrupts with time after many pictures are added. To prevent this issue permanently, you should always format a new card. But note formatting will erase the card! If you haven't saved your pictures yet, and you're having trouble locating them on the card with your computer, see this article. After you've recovered and saved your photos, format the card IN THE CAMERA using the camera format feature (look for it in its menus). This will rejuvenate the card, and prevent this from happening again.

Outdoor pictures give white display on screen

Go to the menus and reset to default or factory settings. Make sure that the white setting in the picture adjustments in the menus are set to zero or you may have to adjust + or - to get the normal effect again.
Test the camera by taking pictures and saving to a sd card. Then put the card in a card reader/writer which is connected to the computer. Copy the pictures or files to the computer and view them to see if they are in good shape or if there is some problem with exposure or the way it looks.
If the computer pictures show that they are good, and they are not showing good on the camera LCD, then the LCD has a problem, and is possibly either cracked or has some other display problem.
These LCD screens are not that hard to change if you are good at working with small items and screws. If you do this, make sure you have a way to remember where you got each screw, as they can vary in size and kind.

I have the redr4 upgrade v 1.4 and when i try to play the games menu comes up on the top screen how do i fix it

Go to linfoxdomain and find the firmware for your r4 upgrade, it looks like you have not put the right fimware on your card, or you have not opened it before loading it, you have to open it up then put it on your sd card one file at a time, when you open your sd card you should have three or four menus on it, it you have not you have not put them on right.

New R4 card wont work !!!!

First make sure you have the correct kernel for the card. Go to the website where you purchased it and download the current firmware. Next copy all of that onto the micro sd card. Build folders in you sd card, very simple right click...new folder... enter... then label them correctly .. Label one movies... music... games.. etc... then put your files into the correct folders.. Another common error is that people use to high of a sd card.... some r4 cards only accept up to a 2gb micro card If you use one that is too big it will stick on the loading screen ... If none of this works reload all the software onto the card and start from scratch... hope this helps

How do i get the RAW images

if your camera is fairly new, it should have a usb port on it as most new digital cameras do. If so then when you plug it into your pc, the pc will open up a shared directory from your camera and you should be able to drag and drop the pictures over.

If not then if you have an external sd card then you should be able to remove the sd card and put it in a card reader on the pc and when you do, the windows os will show the sd card as another drive and you can pull the pictures across that way.

HTH.

I'm having trouble with my 2GB micro SD Card

You have to format your micro SD memory card with your phone first before you can download files to it. With the micro SD memory card in your phone.
1)go to menu 2) go to settings & tools 3)go to memory 4)select card memory 5)***SELECT OPTIONS*** ---this will ask you if you want to format your card select YES, if there is a phone password it would be your last 4 digits of your number.

Now eject the memory card from you phone. Now when you put the memory card to your computer you should see the sub menus...my pics..my videos...my music...my sounds. Now all you have to do is just click and drag your music and photos to these folders.

Then when you add the memory card to your phone it will see all the music, photos, etc...
