Pinouts on Rear Panel Connector of Matsushita Radio/CD/Cassette

Purchased a Radio/CD/Cassette player unit (2 DIN size) and require the pinouts of the rear connector to apply power and speakers etc. It is from an Early-Mid 90's Toyota and the car was totalled but the unit is right to go. I just need to connect it up. Either a manual or the pinouts is appreciated.

Model is: 86120-2A150 or Ref: CQ-MS2030A

There is also a power amplifier that goes with it: Model=86250-60020; Ref=CY-BT495A

SOURCE: I don't know my matsushita radio code;

If this is the Matsushita fitted into a Honda, then try here

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} HONDA codes may be available here

You will require the car VIN number and Radio serial Number

If they cannot provide your code then you will have to try your HONDA Main Dealer .....or a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

The majority of radios are the DIN type so read the solution below.

If yours is not the DIN type, find your instructions here (under the MAKE of CAR )

If you require removal keys, then the cheapest place is usually Ebay

A pair of extractors are required (available from Ebay , Halfords ) but these can be made from 2 pieces of bent, wire
coat-hanger or 4 small drills(using the blunt end) or 4 small Allen Keys
or 4 small screwdrivers or 4 nails or even 4 darts.

An assistant is useful to pull the radio out whilst you are releasing the 4 securing clips

note: on some radios , these 4 holes are protected by 4 small screws. These can be unscrewed using the appropriate size of Allen key.

Would like to connect i pod into my system, but have no instruction book or wiring diagram. The model is a Sony CDX 5470 RDS

I just did this yesterday with my Kenwood MP8017 and an old Dell Pocket DJ. The deck uses a 15pin DIN connector. I had the connector and just used trial-and-error to determine the left, right channels and ground.

For your setup, you need to first determine what sort of inputs that the Sony unit has. Most have some sort if DIN input. If there is an AUX input, you are good to go as it is simply GND, Left and Right Channels. Then use this to deterime the signal pinouts from the IPOD cable.

You will have to hack up an IPOD docking cable (you can get them cheap here.). and get an 3.5 mm jack to cut up as well.

If your deck uses a DIN connector, you will have to source one of those and determine its pinout. Then, just match it with the IPOD connector and you are good.
