First make sure the screen is clean of any dirt or oils that may deposit on your screen from your fingers. Use a stylist (a mini pencil like item that came with your GPS) or and other non metal semi pointed item and go through the screen alignment process. Hit the "X's" as you see them (it will move 4 or 5 times to ensure the screen is aligned.) After it is aligned it should give you other options. I have seen GPS's recycle trough the alignment process two or three times before cycling out. If you do this and you are still you are having issues, and you have tried resetting it, you may have a hardware issue.
OK..your touch screen was jammed or not working and you did reset via code *2767*3855# then the phone restarted with the calibration cross....you tapped the cross but nothing is happening.......what to do? first shutdown the phone remove the battery for 30 sec also remove the simcard put the battery again start the phone when the calibration screen pops up tap on the cross here you must feel the tapping is working by feeling a light vibration of the phone.....then tap on the lower bar of the screen which has color (light gray) different than the calibration screen the cross will move to another corner......repeat this for all four corners then you should see and OK on the bar to save and exit to the normal screen........done
i think you have a problem with you touch screen digitizer. you can send your device to a repair center to replace the TP only, without the need od replacing the entire LCM display panel. A touch panel withou the lCD should cost much less than an LCD.
needs to be replaced , if it does not respond to ur taps have u tried
aligning the screen does it work at all or no area is responsive on
screen then u can try hard resetting it first but after that it will be
guaranteed that ur touch panel is faulty which seems like to me
one thing u shud now do all data will be lost in factory reset process and
if ur touch panel is faulty u will stuck up in initial aligning process
so pls backup first b4 going ahead sync contacts and sms calender an
stuff then try this
hard rest factory default settings = when ur
set is switched off press both buttons call and end key and then press
power button on upside of pda for like 5 sec screen will appear asking
to format all data take out ur card if u dont want to format that now
confirm by pressing the centre action button in 4 side joystick and go
u are stuck at align process then it is now pretty sure that ur TOUCH
PANEL / also called DIGITIZER is faulty u can get it replaced around 60
$ or so
try aligning the screen with a pointed object and on the cross hairs of plus sign firmly dont damage the lcd by hard impact
if can get past to it its ok and if not
ur Digitizer is faulty the upper cover beneath which lcd is assembled is faulty, it is separate from LCD screen and costs around 60 to 70 $ if u are covered in warranty
3 option u can google for a software to bypass the screen alignment process u can use ur pda but the alignment will be wrong and it will not respond where u touch the screen if u can live with that but its free !!!
Any chance you are using screen protectors and that the edge may have shifted under the case? If yes you have what I call a wedgie and it's causing a phantom tap in a non-accessible area. Remove screen protector.
Any chance there is some dirt/detritus wedged just under the edge of the case pressing on the digitizer? Fold the corner of a piece of copier paper to form a scoop and go around the perimeter of the screen no more than 2.5mm under the case to dislodge (not push in) anything stuck there. This method solved this same problem on my HTC phone
