Kenwood A700 Cake Mixer (1950s Model) Motor Removal

I am trying to remove the motor on a Kenwood A700 Cake Mixer and have undone the two bolts holding the motor but it appears the pinion on the motor shaft needs to be removed as well. Does this require removing the pin through the shaft with a punch or press? Dont want to remove the pin if this is not part of the procedure.

Managed to answer my own question! Yes the pin and pinion do have to be removed. The pin is retained by a tiny Allen Key in the centre of the shaft which retains the pin. Mine was obscued by grease, hence my question. Hope this helps someone else!

Mixer stops working

It sounds like the attachments aren't aligning correctly. I had the same problem with a Kitchen Aid. The unit should be replaced as soon as possible so you don't end up paying for repairs.

Can I adapt A700 series liquidizer to a A900 series?

no, you cannot adapt A700 to A900 because the level of the body where fit the motor is different.
