Question about Acer Aspire One PC Notebook
My Acer Aspire One netbook keeps freezing right after it starts up. I can't click on anything! It's only three months old and I've hardly used it because of this reason. I've tried shutting it down and restarting. Sometimes it stops at the windows welcome screen. Sometimes I get to screen that shows my folders - but when I click on a folder, or an anything nothing happens. Then it just freezes altogether. What do I do to fix this?

I have this too except i have had it 7 months and i just had to clear off about 50 viruses and then this shows up and really bugs me. On mine it happens whenever i click on something or 2 minutes after start up any help??? it is very irritating and is out of warranty

I don't have any solution but I'm here just to let you know I have the same problem with my ACER and this is a pity cuz I've been using it for almost one year without any problem. One month ago it started freezing and it happens only when I'm using the scrolling bar. Now I learnt I should use the buttons page up, page down respectively and that stopped happening. However I don't like this solution since anybody who doesn't know the scrolling bar cannot be use, can freeze my laptop in one second so I have then to restart it. I still have two weeks of warranty and I'll try to see if it is possible to swap it but bet the store I bought it will not accept my request. I'm not happy at all.

Per ACER support tech: 1) Shut down your computer completely. 2) Unplug from the power source 3) Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds 4) Release and plug back in 5) Start up as usual. Can be done whenever there are issues as it will not hurt your computer. Releases the static electricity within the computer. Good luck. Mine's working like a charm and this problem got worse and more frequent for me.

It will be better if you ask your vendor for help as it is under warranty.
