As far as I know they do not have a remote. Try going to Walmart or somewhere that sells them ask for help in the toys dept. they should be able to help. Have you tried the Hasbro website? That might be helpful also. I'm going out later I'll see if I can find your answer too. Best of Luck!

It does not have a remote. Put butterscotch on her side and feel her belly. There should be a velcro flap. Pull this to reveal a plastic box. Unscrew the box and that's where the batteries go.

There are a couple of reasons the pony may not work but more information would help. Did the pony word before you replaced the batteries? Some times if you get a new pony (new to you), the batteries in it are old and have corroded. Because the compartment is under the pony, you should probably check and see if the relays and contacts are in good, clean order or if there is corrosion on them. Coke will remove corrosion as will white vinegar. Use a Q-tip. If the contacts are all clean, then you need to check the wiring for a short. You may have to take the fur off to make sure that nothing is broken or touching something metal. Make sure the batteries are installed in the correct order and direction.

Butterscotch pony head not working

First, calling poor Grace at Hasbro will provide fruitless. Hasbro does not make any parts for the full size FurReal Ponies, they have nothing in stock and cannot help you. I, however, can. I am going to post a link to a distressing site that turns the normal FurReal Pony into a fire breathing demon. However, in the process, you can see the diagram of the skeleton of the pony and head. You can search for other links but this is pretty comprehensive. Just don't open when kids are around.

I bought a used Furreal Butterscoych pony and he willnot do anything. I tried replacing batteriea can you help

Remove battery compartment and make sure there is no corrosion (greenish powdery substance) around or inside of compartment. Clean with vinegar if it's got any corrosion at all. Make sure the ON switch is ON after you replace batteries. Make sure all Batteries are brand new and correctly placed. You may have to remove fur coat to check connections. Tricky process. This is a link to a site that shows you how to remove the skin. Keep in mind, this site has no intention of replacing the skin, but it does tell you where the connectors, zippers, etc, are located. There may be a wiring issue that you can't see with the skin on. Hope it helps :)

Where can i get replacement parts for butterscotch? bought at sam's 3 years ago Kids now really into horses and of course our pony needs a few things. battery pack, tail, brush, and carrot any help?

I have had similar problems with toys myself. Seems as if when I am sure that my boys are done with a toy and it is long forgotten- it resurfaces needing some tlc... Here is a link to get the battery pack and cover. I would also suggest checking auction sites, as I have been able to find elusive little plastic parts of helicopters there too :-) Best of luck, and looking at Butterscotch; I would love her too!

I bought a my little pony castle at a yard sale and the instruction manual was gone. Written on the plastic bag said the pony that made the castle work was included. what does this mean and how does it...

If it is the same castle we have, when the magnetic foot on the bottom of the pony is placed on the heart (that is also magnetic) at the top of the yellow staircase, it will start the music and lights blinking. Hope this helps.

Computer novice--hasbro battery

Once you backout the retaining screw, put your fingers in the gap between the battery compartment and the switch. Push the battery compartment to the rear of the pony then you can remove it.
