Prints image too small

I am using a mac, and when I print any document the size of the image is about 5 by 6.5, and won't print full page. Print preview shows a full page.

Re: Prints image too small

Had the same problem after changing the black ink cartridge tried everything including re-installation, new drivers etc, etc. Problem solved with installation of latest leopard driver (although I'm running Tiger) version 5.83 dated 12/11/07 from link below.

Hope this helps if you've not already binned it because its a nice printer.

Re: Prints image too small

Your actual computer print settings may need re-setting if this makes sense, check your pc's print settings, not just the printers own settings. Yoou can get help with this by going to control panel, printers and faxes, troubleshooting, help and supposrt, and follow links. Did you try specifying the paper type to your printer in properties or settings or selecting fit to page which can override printer default settings. It may be that your printer has a glitch like spyware too, try unplugging all cords, replug and turn on. This will rest it. Sometimes this does the job, and run antispyware etc just to be sure. Some programs have their own "printer" guide, go to printers annd faxes settings to see if you need to select a program specific printer setting.

Prints PDF documents VERY slowly (4-5) per page

The actual issue you will find that its not so much the actual printing part of the process that is slow, its actually the spooling to the printer that takes the time.
Does your printer support PostScript printing ? (PostScript is a printing & imaging standard used by many printers) To find out if your printer does indeed support this either refer to your manufacturers documentation or perform a test page and look to see if you have a PostScript enabled option.
If your printer does support PostScript, make sure you are using its PostScript printer driver, most of the time we generally use PCL drivers, so simply change this.

If you find your printer does not support PostScript there are a few other tweaks we can implement to increase printing speed.

Firstly we can force PDF files to be printed as graphics as opposed to text, to do this launch your chosen PDF viewer, select Print > Advanced > Print as image
Lower the print resolution, if we lower the print resolution most of the time the difference is very small, but it can reduce the actual print size of the document by up to 300%, which can greatly decrease printing times.
Make sure you are using the latest version of any print drivers or your chosen PDF printing program, normally Adobe Acrobat.
If the printer only has a small amount of memory if possible add more, if possible install a PostScript SIMM.
Check the amount of ram your computer currently has, check memory usage from task manager when printing to ascertain usage

The page prints to a small version in top left hand corner. everything is set to A4. Have tried all settings Have tried paper feed from back and front. Unable to get it to print a full size A4 page even...

Make sure on the Page Setup tab that the Page Layout says 'Normal-size' and not 'Poster' (poster tries to place four documents on a single printed sheet). If this is not the problem, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver.

I have a Lexmark C522 When I print to it...the image that should be a full page prints really small on half of the page. How can I make it print what I send it?

this problem would indicate that the printer thinks the paper is smaller than it is. check the paper size settings on the drawer if the settings are right the replace the paper size pcb

When I print pictures on the 3210 HP all-in-one, they come out very small even though I choose the 4X6 in paper size for the photo tray. I've tried everything I can, but the pictures keep printing wallet...

First thing that comes to mind is that a 4x6" print could print four wallet sized photos; be shure your are not printing more than one copy.

If you are trying to print more than one,it will print the actual picure you have and leave space for the number of other nonexistent prints selected.

See page 75 of the Manual. for directions on how to set up photo printing.

If you have photoshop, you can resize your documents using the menu item, Image / Image size, (Alt + i then i again)

Set the resolution to 300, then the document size width to 6 or 10 inches.

This will guarantee that your document is full size, (though the printer should be able to resize it to fit on the page no matter what).

Give these a try. It's really a shot in the dark, but it's my best guess.

Canon MP600 not printing on full page - in upper left corner

I went to the Canon website and downloaded the drivers for the printer and it printed out right--on a full page.

Size of page printed small

Check your default paper size on both the document program you are using and the printer. You could have it set for 5X7 and that's what it will figure for, even with 8 1/2X11 paper.

Printer sends out extra page everytime I print

either your paper size settings need to be adjusted in the software, or your setup has included a seperator page.

11x17 Landscape will only print 1 page then switches to Portrait

I found an acceptable workaround. If I leave the paper size set to "defined by driver" in the Print dialog box and chose the paper size in the Page Set Up dialog box, that seems to do it. There were numerous complaints on the web about this and it seems to be a major glitch in CS3 with the Leopard OS.

Won't print when text on the page

Export the page as a jpeg, 150 dpi, high quality, then delete all the items on that page in the indesign document (text & images), then import the jpeg to that page it will fit exactly.
This works most times!
