Is it possible to upgrade the gts 360m video card in my g51jx-x5?

I am afraid you wont be able to do that as graphics cards on notebooks are integrated as opposed to those in desktops.I have known some tech friends who tried to replace the integrated graphics card on a laptop but it failed and ruined the system.

No, your video card cannot be upgraded, it's integrated in the motherboard. The only thing you can do is to assign it more memory.

Can I upgrade 32 mb Video display of my compaq evo n1000c?

As the Video Card is integrated into the Motherboard for your Model, the only way to upgrade is to change the entire board with a larger integrated Video Card. I believe there is a board with a 64MB ATI Card available. Cost of this board replacement may be more than ugrading to a newer system with higher performance specifications. Hi,

It seems that you have an integrated video card.

let me give you two options.
upgrade your mobo and video card which will probably cost you $500.00

or upgrade your memory for $200 to increase shared video memory.

hope this helps.

thanks,.

How to increase video memory

If your video card uses a portion of your system RAM you can adjust the amount it uses through the BIOS or the advanced settings of the Driver Software.

Typically, the amount of video memory is locked because it's integrated to the video card; the only way to upgrade the card capabilities is by upgrading the card itself.

Replacement Laptop Graphics Card

Hi!

You can actually replace and upgrade the video/graphics card if it is not integrated. But in this case, upon checking on your model, the video card on this system is NOT replaceable or upgradable since it is built-in or integrated with the system.

Thank you.

Video upgrade

Sorry, No. Integrated means it's built into the motherboard. This is typical because it's so highly integrated with the display.

Graphics cards

Depending on the laptop, the manufacturer often has two or three choices on the video card. Before purchasing you can make the choice. If you have already purchased, you can upgrade to another video card as long as the video card is not integrated on the motherboard. Check the laptop specifications online and see if the manufacturer offers the upgrade before purchase.
