Question about Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for PC
Les, although this might not be a solution, what you're asking for is a long term tutorial.
Photoshop is a complex program and can do the most basic tasks to the incredibly complex for what ever you want to do to an image.
In the beginning you can open an image, use the crop tool to cut out the bits you don't want, go to the Image menu and to Image size and size the image to what you want, then to Image menu again and to Adjust and across to Levels or Curves and adjust the images colour and contrast - but, with all this, you have to keep in mind where the image is going to end up to retain it's aspect ratio, its resolution to a sharp image but not too large an image, any colour compensation settings to where you're going to print it.
A handy tool is in Filters>Sharpen>Unsharp mask. Dont over sharpen, it makes the pics look like cartoons.
That's the most basic.
Your better off Googling "photoshop tuturial".
Get some notes on it, read them, then a chat situation may help.
