Can not down load voice recording to computer: Sansa 280.
I have sansa 280.Previously, I had no problem down loading all recordings to my laptop. I could see not only the voice recordings but all the songs and audible books etc in a list format. I could then name them or rename them. Now when I connect my sansa280 to my laptop, it shows it is connected but the message on the laptop screen says "connect the device to sync". So, though it shows the icon on the screen it does not seem to recognize the sansa. The sansa screen shows two arrows moving in opposit direction and says "connected". Can you help me how I can get to see the list of items that are there on the mp3 player and be able to download them to my laptop?

Re: Can not down load voice recording to computer: Sansa...
You can try few simple steps like changing the USB ports, turning off & turning on the mp3 player and then reconnecting it, and then changing the USB mode on device: Menu --> Settings --> USB mode: MSC or MTP
If these don't work, try the steps here: Sansa e250 Not Detected in PC

To play back a voice recording, you will need to do the following steps after turning on the player. Press Power/Menu briefly to get the software menu. Press the Repeat/A-B/Down button to highlight the line Play Music and press Select to enter the play back sub-menu. Press the Down button again to go to the line Recordings and press Select again. Use the Down button to highlight a particular voice recording and press Select to start playing the recording.
The manual for the Sansa M200 MP3 player is available as a PDF from the manufacturer here: http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/241 . The details for playing back a Voice Recording are on page 23-24 (24-25 of the PDF). You will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read the manual.
Connect your sansa to the computer via usb. (assuming you have windows) Now go to "My Computer". If your sansa is in automatic mode, it should show up as "sansa c205". Double Click on that. Now double click on "internal memory". (If you don't have that, just skip it) Now double click on "recordings". Double click "Voice". Now a list of your recordings show up. Simply delete the ones you don't want, such as "001" and "002".
Instead of using Windows Media Player, connect the Sansa to the computer, double-click My Computer, double-click the Sansa drive, and go to the Voice folder - drag the recordings to the Desktop or some other location on your computer. This will backup those songs for you in case something goes wrong.
plug in your mp3 to the computer go to MY COMPUTER double click in the sansa e250 there are alot of folders theres one thart says RECORD double click on it the theres two folders in there one that says FM and one that says VOICE double click on it and in that folder you will find all your voice recording.
The only way I know to delete music files or voice or FM recordings, is straight from the User's manual on the CD:
1. Set the e250 to MSC mode.
2. Plug it in to your computer with the USB connector.
3. Open the Sansa e250 drive in My Computer and browse to the MUSIC folder (or RECORD folder)and delete the files there. (That's where you also add music files, by dragging from other explorer windows.)
To delete (or add) photo and video files, you have to use the Media Converter, which you install from the disk that came with the e250.
