Error message on screen.

I have a DDL-5550N-7. It is connected to a Juki SC-1 type FB. Everytime I push the pedal its stops, beeps and on the screen it says E 7 660865. It will not work after that. I need to disconnected and reconnect. ...At first turns on normally. I tap the medal and the needle bobs up and down normaly. After a few seconds its like it jams. I have to spin the side wheel (up) a bit and it feels like something is trying to make it spin but cannot. Then i have to spin it (down) and it jesrks a bit and the needle goes back to its normal position. Then it will work for a few seconds again about five and then it will just beep. show the message "E 7 660870" and stp working.

SOURCE: I have a DDL-5550N-7. It

Per the SC-1 Engineer Manual:

Error Code E7
The motor has locked. (The motor fails to rotate with controlled even when the motor has been driven.)

Check whether the sewing machine head has locked. (Is is possible to trun the pulley lightly by hand?) ** Correct the swizure of ther machine head.

Check whether the tread has been tangled in the pulley of the sewing maichine.

Check whether the thread has been tangled in the motor pulley shaft.

Check whether the thread has been caught in the hook.

Check whether the proper amount of oil is supplied to the hook.

My guess is your hook and cutter are stuffed with thread and thread dust. Remove the cover plate (2 screws) and the feed dog (2 screws) and carefully clean the junk out. You also likely have thread wrapped aound the shaft behind the bobbin assembly. I use a seam ripper to get that thread out.

Consult your owner's manual in the Troubleshooting section. Sounds like your machine is giving an error message.
