Problem for Gateway GT5220 PC Desktop

IE icon missing in tray on left - (XP IE7 Sony Viao)

It was there and now it's not! I am sure I must have done something but I have no idea what it might have been. I can use the shortcut on my desktop - but that's awkward at times. Thoughts? Instructions to correct? I haven't been able to locate anything - hoping it's a super simple fix and I am just missing the obvious somehow/somewhere.

- Thanks, Quick launch was checked earlier - but I unchecked and rechecked and was then able to drag it to the tray - you're the 'bestest' and speedy too!

Right click on the taskbar at the bottom. Under the "toolbars" item, be sure the "quicklaunch" toolbar is checked. That will restore the shortcut to the taskbar.
If your quicklaunch toolbar is checked and no IE icon is there, just drag the shortcut from your desktop to the taskbar and it will be there for you.
