Re: LM1770A POWER ADAPTER 12V
Ok well the Power adapter is not really that special.. what you need is a Centre Pin POSITIVE 12volt at say 4 amp power supply unit. I would get it from Ebay.. perhaps even being able to get an exact one from Ebay.. Othewise try the Samsung site and purchace direct. Look here for an idea.

I guess you could be looking for something like these http://www.coywood.co.uk/lcd-power-supply-flat-screen-mains-adapter-adp-65db-12v-7a-2222-p.asp http://www.power-adapters.co.uk/12v-dmtech-4-pin-power-supply-adapter-p-4668.html http://ezlaptopadapters.com/12v-7a-4-pin-power-supply-adapter-p-4006.html
Dc output is 12v and 1amp. You can buy power adapter for Zyxel P660HW-D1 from nearest computer shop or from internet. It's power adapter needs 12v and 1 amp. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.
Or you can just type in 12v 2.5A LCD Adapter in an Ebay search. You can usually find a bunch of buy now power supplies that come with cords for a decent price. I've been using one of these for a year or so on my monitor.
The correct one would be 12v @ 2.5 to 3 Amp. If the set used less current than 1 amp it would be in milliamp (500ma which is half an Amp)etc.
As long as you get one that is 12v @ 2.5 to 3 amp it will be fine. You could buy one with a higher current rating like 4,5,6 or more Amp's as long as it's 12v DC. The set will only use the current that it needs to function so I higher current won't hurt. It's the voltage you have to make sure is correct. If you do buy one with a higher current rating it will probably last longer because it wont get so hot.
Most probably the Power Supply, generally is in these things... perhaps the Electrolytic Capacitors have Dried out and gone bad and need to be replaced, often all I do is replace every large Electro on the Power Board, (Often with much higer Temperature and spec Caps) and that "Fixes" it..
This one should work for you it's the same voltage and amperage as your unit. 19VDC 3.16A Any standard power cable from an old printer or computer will work with one of those PS's.
The only thing you need to check before you buy is the polarity of the barrel connector. I looked on the net but could not find out that info so look at the jack where the power plugs into the monitor. You might see a little diagram showing a + and - signs. If the line coming off the + sign goes to the semi-circle than the barrel is positive and if the - goes to the SC the barrel is negative. Ask them before you buy which way that one is. As long as they are the same you will be able to use that PS.
