Question about JVC GR-DVL505 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I have a JVC GR-DVL505 camcorder and I finally got it out of the safeguard mode and was able to start using it. Now it tells me it needs to be cleaned with a head cleaner. I got a HyperBRUSH TM MiniDV cleaner from RadioShack but when I put it in and press play to clean it the camera goes into safeguard mode EO3. I was wondering if you had any solution. I am going to bring it to County TV in Stamford, CT where we purchased it a long time ago and see if anyone can help but I was hoping you might have an answer for me that I can try first. Thanks for your help.
I have had the same problem with a different model JVC. I haven't been able to fix it yet, but there were a bunch of people on a different forum that were able to fix that error code quite simply. With a tape in the machine, flip the lever to eject the tape, then as soon as you hear the motor start to whir, quickly close the door.
It didn't help me, but like I said, several people reported that that action fixed the EO3 error.
