I have a 2005 scionxb an dit won't always start. It doesn't make any noise when you turn the key. The battery is fine. The radio will not come on but the windows work.

None of the fuses are blown. It started doing it after i drove the car for an hour, it sat for 10 minutes and would not restart, After an hour I tried again and it started. The same evening it did it again but started after 30 minutes of sitting. Then today I drove it for 10 minutes, sat for 5 and it wouldn't restart.

There might be a ground wire loose or any of the positive wires coming off the battery might also be loose or coroded. That can also be part of your prior fuse problem. If its the same fuse that blows, that could be where your entire problem existes.

SOURCE: why do the fuses on my scion xb keep blowing?

Did you check to make sure the fuses are the right rating to begin with. Fuses are rated by amperage and disconnect the circuit or "blow" if there if the circuit is shorted out (+ touches - or vice versa) or a device or circuit draws more amperage than the fuse is rated. Did you buy the vehicle new? If not then there may have been modifications. Does is have the stock radio? Does it have an amp or subwoofer? Driving lights? There is also a fuse block with relays and fusable links under the hood. Refer to the owners manual and verifiy all the components in both fuse blocks are of the correct type and rating. Physically remove and inspect every related fuse and make sure no one has "jumped" a fuse by wrapping it in foil or ataching a solid wire across the connection. If all that works out ok, have the voltage reguator checked as it is regulates a constact rate of power to the car. If is is allowing momentary surges, it is possible that it could exceed the cirucit ratings especiallly on the 10 and 15 amp circuits that most of your accessorys and lighting use; Good Luck.

SOURCE: my 2005 xb won't start and when you put your foot on the brake it is tight and won't move

The tightness of the brake is normal. as the servo doesn't work until you run the engine. It could still be the battery as the radio only takes a small amount of power, whereas the rngine needs a lot more, get it checked by an electrician.

My 1999 vw beetle won't start in snow

Old new beetle VW harness has contact resistance problems(vibration of wires) and needs to be recrimped the long wires(vibration can be stopped by silicone rubber anchoring). Cold weather make battery voltages low and needs recharged with handbrake on(headlamps off) 10 minutes warming engine up the whole winter.

2005 Chevy Aveo, clicks but start won't catch and when jumped it doesn't charge what could it be??

Your alternator is not charging the Battery, I would replace the battery with a new gel battery and have the alternator checked, bets on your battery just died.

My 2005 caravan won't start. When I turn the key I hear a clicking sound but it doesn't start. It worked fine earliar today. The battery is fine for now.

Possible causes are: 1. Loose or corroded battery cables. 2. Bad starter 3. Dead battery. Try tapping on the starter with a hammer while someone is holding the key in the start position. If it starts then replace the starter. Thanks

I have a 2002 Chrysler town and country. I just put in a new battery 3 weeks ago and they checked the alternator and said it was fine. Now it won't start. When you turn the key the radio and lights...

I hate to say this to you but make sure the engine is not locked up. If you can turn the engine, either by pulling on the belt, or by putting a wrench on the crankshaft bolt, try another starter. If you can't turn it, try another engine. (sorry for the insensitive attempt at humor)

All warning lites are on but my car won't start

The following are to only to be recognizes as suggestions. With all the dash lights on this is one signal to narrow the variables preventing the car from starting. First thing I would do is check all the fusses, if they are good then go and turn off all accessories (radio, a/c, fans). then turn the key into the starting position and listen for a click noise. If the sound doesn't occur most likely the solenoid needs replacement. When the sound does occur the there are more variables. Low voltage (bad battery, battery cables loss or carotid). If they check out then this would be the last suggestion available. With the knowledge of the hazards would be to checked the started armature and brushes by jump the solenoid, if the starter drive doesn't spin then the start needs replacement, if it does it's beyond my knowledge and I'd be on my way to a professorial.

My car will not start my lights, radio work its not the battery. I recently replaced the starter, the altenator, battery, fuel pump catalyic converter. when i turn the key there is no noise it won't...

Sounds to me like the starter or starter relay, OR did you check all the fuses? When the starter doesn't click or turn over the engine it is likely a problem with it or the power supply to it. Start with the easy thing. check the fuses, then the relay.
The P0300 is usually caused by something other than the spark plugs or coils. A fuel/oxygen sensor can cause this code. I would say that doesn't have anything to do with not starting.
Good luck.
