Question about Hiro (H50113) Analog Modem
I am running Windows XP professional on a 2004 Dell Optiplex with a 2.8 GH Pentium 4 CPU and using Netzero (high speed) dial up
Dialup phone lines usually only transmit a minimum of 8 Baud. NetZero's high speed (5X) faster is done by caching pages you have already visited, not actially running internet but loading pages faster on your computer. Check your modem setting, 56k, 112K are normal speed setting to connect. Check your actual connection speed, 28.8 is probably all that you are getting on dialup.
