It sounds like you turned off your track pad. On some laptops there is an indentation on the pad to turn on and off and some have buttons on the laptop. Did you go into your track pad properties to see if it is on? You can do this by clicking on the mouse on the lower left corner of your laptop or by going into control panel. I hope this helps.
you need to go to your control panel open your mouse and adjust your settings there. click the lower left START to open dash on the right after it opens select CONTROL PANEL when open scroll down to mouse.
This happens for 1 of 2 reasons:
1. Either your wrist hits the mouse pad and that makes the cursor move
2. If your mouse moves all the time without your control you need to have your palm rest replaced
When this works vote me a 10
First, try to adjust the sensitivity for the touchpad in the control panel for the mouse. If this doesn't work you can just plug in an external mouse to disable the touchpad. If it still jumps, read the following.
This will involve opening the top part of the laptop. Usually there is a plastic piece holding down the keyboard. Directly above the keyboard. Use a flat head screwdriver to remove it.
Once you see the keyboard, then remove it. Just below that is the connection to the touchpad, undo it and just tape it to an area underneath the touchpad.
