I would check the flue out side first to make sure it is not blocked. If flue looks good i would try cleaning or replace thermalcoupl. Most of the dyna glo heater i have worked on have a thermal pile instead of thermalcoupl. If you have a thermal pile then i would lite pilot and hold knob down for about 3-5 minutes before you turn gas valve knob to on. If that doesnt work let me no and i can give you somemore ideas. I hope you get it working. What is the tempature out side?
There is a therma-couple that the flame burns against. When it is working correctly it allows gas to travel to the flame. When it goes out you get no gas, as a safety feature. Replace the therma couple and it should work again.
We had a problem keeping the pilot light to stay on, and this site recommended that it could possibly be the thermocoupler that was causing our problems also. We ordered the thermocouple, put it on,hooked it back up and it worked great! Thank you so much. ordered thermocouple from www.masterparts.net
