It started to make an incredibly loud whirring noise when I put a CD in one day. It did it a few times from then on, and now when I try to open the CD/DVD door to put in a CD/DVD the light on the door doesn't turn on and it doesn't make the usual bleeping noise (so i know it is going to pop open). It just doesn't open at all.
I had a very similar issue with my Toshiba Satellite X205 SLi1. I ended up having to replace the drive, as the motor apparently went out. You can get a new drive on eBay for a fair price, and directions on swapping it out should be very easy to find online. It's usually a very easy swap on a notebook, even for people who have never done it before. But I'm sorry, I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that your drive is a goner. It happens from time to time, especially if you use the drive a lot.
Thank you, I'll try that!
Excellent! Tell us how it goes, and be sure to let use know if it fixes your problem:)
I took my laptop to a repairs shop, and they put in a new disk drive for me. It works again now! Thanks for the help! :)
No problem! Glad I could help out.

Couldn't find that specific error code anywhere. However to give more information try this. Try to burn a CD, when you get the error code go to:
Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Event Viewer then Services and Applications. See if you get an "error" on a particular application you should as the event viewer documents everything that goes on in the system. Let me know what application or file is causing the error..standying by.
