Question about JVC Sirius KD-LHX500 CD Player

1 Answer

Won't EJECT I don't know what happened one day everything was great and the next i can't get the cd out of my unit. The front of the unit isn't going low enough, the arms just won't let it go down. It also displays "CONNECT ERROR" but i've reset it, i've tried emergency eject, and cleaned the connectors, i don't know what the problem is, i know the arms are capable of going all the way down because i can force it down but then the entire unit just shuts down!!!

You need to reset the CD player. Remove the front panel and you will see a tiny hole in the middle of the panel of the unit mounted in the dash (i.e. without front panel). Gently push a ball point pen or pin in to press the reset switch.

Hope this helps.

Are you sure the face and the body are the same model? It sounds like you don't have the correct face for your deck.

You are most likely having an issue with a blown speaker or shorted speaker lead. I would recommend going to a good car audio shop and have them check over the install and your system to properly fix the problem.

You can download a manual for your radio from www.jvc.com

If the unit has a removable face take a pencil eraser and try shining up the little contacts on the back of the face and the radio. See if that cleaning helps.

Flip Down faceplate is stuck.

I have the same problem, and all my problem was is that one of the wheels were out of place. You can see these white gears at the bottom left and right. Just stick something in there and push it back in place. It should just snap back in.
