Question about Hamilton Beach Stay or Go 45234 Coffee Maker
I was cleaning the coffee maker with Dip It, which is made for cleaning coffee makers. I put a little in the paper filter holder but without a paper filter, thinking the hot water would clean out those little gussets better. After turning it on and letting it brew, I noticed the display light looking whacked. Then I opened it to find the Dip It had clogged it a little, and hot water had seeped over the coffee filter holder. I'm guessing the hot water and steam somehow got into the electrical parts, as the display is right there at the same level. Now nothing works. Display makes a faint bluish light that is only seen if you turn all room lights off. No numbers appear. And the buttons do nothing. It will not brew. I loved this coffee maker and would really like to know if it can be fixed, rather than replaced. Joe
Hang on. Wait until it has cooled and dried. Mine did this. About a week later, I tried it... Display was incredibly faint. But after some use, it "came back." Same as new. Everything is working.
Just... don't give up on it yet.
