the outlet hose is clear and looks good.

Are there any fuses on this model that I should check prior to pulling the heating element?

Try here: http://www.partselect.com/KenmoreModels....= to find parts. I'm not sure about fuses -- it's been a while since I've dealt with dryers. Your best bet (if you want to try troubleshooting this yourself) is to have your model and serial number handy and call a local appliance parts store. Ask if they have a diagram for a Kenmore dryer model _____. If the guys aren't too busy, they'll usually look up parts for you. Failing that, go to the store and ask to see the parts diagram for your model. If you do go to the store, the guys behind the counter will usually try to help you find what you need. Just don't go there on a Saturday afternoon -- that's amateur day.

Have you checked the outlet hose (the big silver flexible hose that connects the dryer to the vent)? Sometimes the hose gets clogged and the dryer can't get any air. Also check outside to be sure the vent is clear.

If the hose and vent are clear, the heating element may have gone bad. That involves taking the dryer apart, finding the element, removing it, and taking it in to a service center to have it tested.

LG DLG2251W won't heat up

Your post is from 2008 but I am having the same problems with this dryer, same model. This is an LG problem, for crying out loud LG ---- GET IT FIXED. No more LG dryers for me. My $300 Kenmore works like a charm.

The first LG dryer they sent me I thought was a lemon. They came out and replaced the motherboard on the brand new dryer. They came out again and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't dry my clothes, and the second time they gave me another brand new dryer. Same problem with this one and all brand new perfectly clear ducts. Really?????

Google "lg dryer spins but no heat" on youtube - he explains how to get to the sensor and reset it, but still trying to figure out where to find it on my model. I can't believe I have to go through all of this with a $1000 machine!! Never ever again. Avoid LG dryers at all costs. It takes me HOURS to dry a load of laundry. Wanna throw a dry piece of clothing in the dryer for a few minutes to get the wrinkles out? hahaha think again. The heat will never come on even with the manual (non sensor) setting.

Again = AVOID LG DRYERS AT ALL COSTS. It's not worth the headache.

Your Heating element may have burned out. Repair clinic has some good repair videos, and a parts department. Sears parts direct is also another source for parts.

Gas dryer will heat sometimes and not heat other times kenmore model 72802

sounds like bad gas coils, you have to send the whole model number,it will start with 110. or similar,if the bottom panel comes off, remove it,start the dryer, or in the front panel down near the bottom pop off the cover and look in,if the flame lights and then after 10 to 20 minutes the flame doesn't light you have bad gas coils.when the coils are starting to fail they will work correctly until they heat up and then they won't work until they cool down, the coils are what opens the gas valve.the coils are on top of the gas valve, remove the two phillips screws, pull off the cover, remove the wires from the coils and install the new coils, put it back together and you'll be fine, also while you're in there, get a shop vac and vac out the cabinet, stick it on blow and blow all the lint off of the motor and out of the gas tube, then clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into.if your vent line is a long run from the back of the dryer to the outside,i use a leaf blower remove the vent line from the back of the dryer and blow all the lint outside out of the line,do this once a year, you won't have any fires, your clothes will dry on time and your motor and parts will last longer
