I have a white ghost box appearing over my safari web search window. I believe it was from a pop up window that never spawned its own safari page. Any suggestions on getting rid of it???
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

Open your browser - I assume Safari
go to the "Safari" menu at the very top of your screen and make sure there is a tick-mark next to "Block Pop-Up Windows" in the drop-down menu.
If you want more protection against ads search for "AdBlock Safari" If you download and install it, most ads will not be downloaded to your computer.
Hope this helps
To make Google your home page using a Mac Computer and Safari as your web browser proceed as follows:
Open an instance of Safari
Click Safari at the top of the page and select preferences
You will see a Window appear as show below:
Open the General Tab and set your Preferences as you desire including your HomePage by entering the address or having your preferred Web page open and clicking the Set to Current Page button below the HomePage option.
Close the Safari Preference box and your home page should be the one set whenever you open an instance of Safari.
Try zooming your the Safari window (click the green button at the top left of the window's frame) or try putting Safari into full-screen mode (click arrow thingy at top right of window frame) to see if the text box reappears. You can switch in and out of full-screen mode by typing control-command-F.
If this doesn't do the trick, navigate to a SPECIFIC page in Google search (start at www.google.com), then open Safari Preferences, click the General tab, and click the "Set to current page" button.
you should have an app called SAFARI
thats your itouch web browser
