First you do is to unplug the cord of your CD unit for 5 hours in order to drain the stored current,the purpose is to reset the unit. After the 5 hours plug the CD see to it if it open If not,just try to press down on the stop button and pressing eject button at same time and it will unlock the tray .Then the other option is to open the cover of the CD unit and unplug the unit again to avoid electricshock . When open already look for the disc platter moved it outward while driving the gear or simply push out. The drawer or door of the CD player and you will see a small circular disc which is often called turntable or disc platter.When the disc platter is out push it back and push it out you do this three times so the slider mechanism align it properly.If you do already what i said then plug it again and if works already closed the cover. The slider mechanism, depending on the age of the unit and the manufacturer, consists of the small chrome rail, a drive motor, a small gear assembly, and (in some units) a small belt that drives the slider unit via the motor. This small belt causes all sorts of problems. If the belt is broken or slipping, it can cause skipping, dropouts, or simply no start up at all. Also, if the belt breaks in the middle of the disc, the drive mechanism gets hair or dirt wrapped up into the gears, or the pick-up assembly doesn’t return to the start position (called home), the unit will (99% of the time) refuse to release the disc, causing it to become stuck inside the unit. There’s a little micro or leaf type switch located at home position that sometimes gets dirty or breaks and, causing this problem also.

Hope it may help you;

I have a crosley machine that records from tapes to cds .I can't get the door open to put my cd in . It clicks but won't open. Help, Please

Loading mechanism fault. Check the loading belt. If it is broken, CD won't eject, or load well inside the mechanism. If loading motor is damaged, this kind of fault can occur. Anyway, you have to take out the mechanism out of it to get it repaired. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy. Door will not open

this product seems to be an audio CD player in use with a stereo system.
Have you tried inserting a paperclip (that has been straightened out) through the tiny hole available to manually coax the tray to come out. It will pop out just a little, but it will then be unlocked and be easy to bring out, displaying the entire CD.
If you have tried that, then.....
Take the cover off (the entire case) and inspect the area where the CD is. Many of these players have no metal encasement around the CD mechanism and one can see the inner workings. The CD may have gotten askew, or the mechanism jammed. Gently try to free things up.You should at least retrieve your CD.

Put the thing back together. Use a junk cd (keep the stereo amp off) and try to load and unload it. If that fails.... Time to get a new one.

Here's a suggestion for that. Most all DVD players handle cd's. Purchasing an inexpensive DVD player might be cheaper than finding a stereo component CD player. Just use the audio out.

Good luck

My seal hifi, model number w3 7rw when CD is put in player the unit doesn't play CD, the door keeps opening

The loading sequence is not completing the cycle when the tray door closes because of slipping belt, or the laser pickup assembly is faulty.

Memorex 9290mmo cd door does not open

The gears are jammed, or the timing gear is out sync, and finally a broken loading belt.
