Question about Whirlpool GS6NBEXR Side by Side Refrigerator
My only problem is I don't know how to take the front panel part off so I can get to the problem and fix it. It's probably some as simple as a wire spring. One the left door where the water & ice dispenser are apparently visually there is no way to take anything apart. No screw that I could see or anything. Please help me.
It's actually not a spring, but what they call a solenoid.
On some units -
Look at the underneath side of the dispenser trim, usually there are slots to put a screwdriver into to GENTLY!!!! pry it out at the bottom ( may be stuck on with double sided tape). After the bottom is pried out ,you SHOULD be able to gently lift it up and off small tabs that hook into the top part of what they call the escutcheon. Then everything is right there for you to tear into.
And on others -
Often the front trim will come off towards you if you carefully peel it back with your finger tips.
Let me know if you need more help. Will be glad to try and find you exploded views.
