One of the problems is that when you first get your sd card, you have to format it to fit your phone, after you format it, there will be several files on the card, sounds, pics, music....
then take and drag and drop to the music file and it will be on your phone

You need to get a MicroSD card, and a LG USB cable . Then you will know what to do, and as soon as you do that... Please tell me how. :'[

I ran across the same issue when i bought my VX9800 2 and half years ago. Apparently Verizon has the rights on the .3g2 file format/extension.You can play it on your phone you can even save it to your computer but if you dont have the codecs to open it which Verizon owns the software rights to your not going to use it. I think i saw some where on the internet a company was selling codecs for something like $40.00 but as long as i could save it some day the codecs will be available for free

Double check the file format you have your music saved as. On some lg phones the media player will only read mp3 files. If they are stored as wma files they might not be readable by the phone. Also when you look at the memory card on your computer if the files are not stored under my music or music the phone wont be able to read them. Good Luck!

this is due to the format of the music files some mobiles have mp3 format as default but they can also play wma and wav formats so convert the music files into the format your mobile supports by default this will show up all the music files in the music category if this does not works tell me the model no of your mobile

Cant find music files in the sd card

There are several things you need to look at when trying to get mp3 files to playback on you phone, but the most common are file name length and bit rate. File name length should be 30 or under and bit rate should 192 or under.

sorry you cant as Verizon blocked this feature for some reason, though you can get the file off of the phone on to a computer and then send it to the rumor via bluetooth.

Cant format SIM card

Using the miniSD Card
The V can access the following file types stored on the
removable miniSD card:
My PIX: gif, png, jpg, bmp
My Sounds: qcp, mid
My FLIX: 3gp, 3g2
My Music: wma

You do not need to format the card, just put it in the slot. The phone will do the rest.

You can chek the card by going to settings and tools---scroll down to memory--ok--go to card memory--ok---and it will show you the information about the card.

Mp3 player

1. The EnV can only play .wma and .mp3 files .. make sure no other filetype (music) exists.

2. try formatting the card before putting music on it. Make sure all your files are backed up somehwere as formatting= erasing

3. power down the phone .. Take the battery out ... then put the battery back in and power it back on and try it again .... if it fixes your problem then you were having a software glitch

Hope this helps.

The chocolate only supports .WMA files (windows media player) you have to convert them to .WMA in order for the phone to play them.

LG EnV wont transfer!!

I believe the card is formatted incorrectly, this sometimes occurs when the new OS doesn't recognize the old files and sort of "partitions" them off to the side instead of deleting them.

You can try reformatting using the enV again or (if you still have the old phone) put the card back in it and delete the other files from there. Otherwise you can probably format it using your computer, seeing as you have a connection between the phone and the computer.
