I have a t2885 e-machine and it power up. I think the problem may be the power supply. Could their be something else that would cause this proble. Also in what order should the power led, and other connectors be in on this machine?
Your power supply is fried. I had the same problem with my Bestec ATX 250 power supply. I fixed the problem by installing the StatTech model: ATXPOWER250. It was easy to install and works well. It is almost identical to the original but more quiet. I got it for $29 at MicroCenter.com. Also at online Newegg.com, Radioshack.com, Provantage.com, June 20,2009
Shut down the system, disconnect every thing you
can possibly disconnect.
Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
Reconnect A/C power and try to boot up.
If no change, open case, disconnect all cables to the CD/DVD and hard drives. Reconnect power
and try to turn on again.
If still no go, remove all expansion cards (modem, NIC, video, etc.
Remove and reseat the RAM. If you get no power, remove the RAM and reconnect power to see if you get beeps from the system.
Let me know if you need to go further than this.

E-machine 2885 will not power up. The main switch is not functioning, and the fans at the power supply (ATX-250-12E) or the CPU are not on.
I have disconnected all connectors to hard drive, CD-R/W and DVD players, but to no avail. The green LED on the mother board is lit on.
