Where is the pilot light on the Whirlpool Ultimate Care II Dryer?

Smelled gas & the clothes weren't dry. Figured the pilot light went out. On our old dryer the pilot light was in the front. I'm figuring this one is in the back, but it's very hard to reach the back & just wanted to make sure. Is there anything I need to know about lighting it? (We did turn off the gas!) Thanks!

Hello gigiknoll
Welcome to Fixya
My name is Huum,

This model should be electronic ignition and does not use a pilot light.
The igniter may be faulty.or the gas module may be faulty.
Pilots are a thing of the past!
This requires a tech to test it with equipment.

Have a year old Whirlpool Ultimate Care II. After wash is spun and load is done the clothes are still sopping wet. Tried extra rinse but that doesn't help. Afraid of damaging dryer when putting clothes...

Check to make sure a nail has not gotten stuck in one of the hole in thew bottom of the drum. Check to see that no article of clothing has gotten jammed between the tubs or the top.

I have a whirlpool gold ultimate care II electric dryer and have to dry everything on high twice to get it dried. any suggestions?

first how is the clothes out of the washer? That might not be spinning fast enough in final spin. When was the last time the dryer vents was cleaned. Do you have a flow out the vent? If so then something might be going on with sensors.

Make sure that the vents are cleaned to include outside. Where it hook on to the dryer make sure that the housing is cleaned also. That should take care of the problem. Thankyou and if you need more help let us know.
