what happens whenever you are trying to scan.... any error message or any error number?
try scanning from the printer to the computer using the scan to option on the front panel of the printer.
try scanning from hp solution center installed in your computer.
try scanning from mspaint. to do so, open paint and click on "file-->from scanners and camera".
how did you installed the driver. have you got the correct cd to install the printer in windows vista???
if not that may be the problem. the printer can print and copy well as you are having the drivers which will work in win vista. but for the scanning functionality you need to get the cd to install the printer in windows vista. you can download it online.
After upgrading the driver as above suggested, try initiating the scan by using the printer software. You can prescan and scan from that window. Another program may have disabled the manual buttons
Is this becuse Vista does not support HP PSC 1510 scanner?
