Question about HP PSC 2410 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

HP2410 does not print, just keeps making a clicking sound

When attempting to print, the printer makes this clicking noice. Almost like the paper won't advance or something. I don't see anything in the front or the back that looks odd. Now this morning, it doesn't turn on at all (will keep trying on that, but need help with the first.). Any ideas???!!

Chat with me live, I might be able to fix it. Its probably cables problem that it doesnt turn on, and attempting on printing might be the driver's installation. Again, chat live with me I might be able to fix it.

It seems to be catching and making a noice when it hits the left side of the printer. We print 16x20s and you can actually see where it isn't dispursing the ink correctly and making a slight v at the...

I don't know if this will help or not. Remove the paper and look on the bottom where the print head runs across and you will see several small plastic insets that feel like felt. They soak up ink over time and will become hard. I had one curled up and it sounded like the print head was clicking on the side and I had an obvious issue on the left side of the paper. This occurred only with large prints. This is a small plastic film and i just removed the one damaged piece and kept on printing, problem solved or at least put off until the reason for that part is made evident.

Paper gets stuck in Epson S/C 900. Laptop XP reinstalled. I will pay the $30 if you can get it to work. Drivers installed by Epson. Cisco says it isnt them. Dell too. Printer on for a year but not used....

inspect the paper trays to make sure they are not overloaded. To determine if this is the problem, do a test print with only one piece of paper loaded in the paper tray. (If this turns out to be the problem, keep the paper tray half-full in the future.)

Check that the type of paper being used falls within the printer manufacturer's recommendations. For example, paper designed for ink-jet printers doesn't necessarily work well in laser printers. High-quality, bonded paper will cause paper jams in some printers

If someone has recently printed labels on this printer, check to see if a label has come unglued from a sheet and become stuck inside the printer.

Check the gears and rollers for stuck shreds of torn paper from previous jams. Turn off the printer before you attempt to remove the bits of paper

you can also you a light blower or vaccum to clean the printer be sure to remove the ink catridge from the printer before using them

after doing so click the printer icon in the task bar and click open it and delete all the files in them

then click start settings click printer and faxes then make your printer default then switch of the printer and the computer remove the power plug and the usb cable wait for few minutes and replug them then restart your computer and the printer then click start setting printer and right click the printer and click properties in the printer properties click the print a test page and your printer will be ready to print

Paper Jam when printing

Clean the rollers in the paper path with a moist cloth (NOT WET CLOTH). Keep rolling them and keep cleaning them. Then allow sometime to dry up. Ot if in a hurry then dry them with your hairdryer without the heat.

Loud grinding noice before starting to print

Mine makes a grinding noise when scanning or making copies. As long as everything is working, I just tolerate the noise in which the rest of the staff find amusing at first and then ignore it as I do.
