Question about Brother HL-4040CN Laser Printer
I have DL the firmware and calibrated. My grey blue is printing purple and I dont know how to fix this. I just bought this machine 3 days ago so I am an amateur this is my first laser printer. It said that it wont print exactly the same color as on my screen but the inkjet does. I have looked back through the book and installation and I cant see where I may have made a mistake installing anything. Anyone else have this problem and if so is there a fix?
I assume it's turned on and connected to the router.
Sometimes with DHCP, the IP address on the printer will change. I end up going into the router table to see what IP addresses are assigned where. Invariably I'll find my network printer has changed. Find the printer and write it down.
In Windows, Go into Printers> choose the Brother and right click to check Properties. Look for Ports and change the IP address as needed. It will come back online.

Yes, The drum units have a set number of copies before they need to be replaced. This printer has a drum life of 17000 pages. The part number for the drum is DR110CL Just do a Google search or check your local office supply store.
I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.
