Re: have new laptop windows vista freezing up
You should check this link :
By stating frezing yo meant the cursor freezes or the video freezes.
Try running a thorough scan and chck for any infections.
Try removing any p2p software that you use, because it thinks you have a email spam program
running it then kicks in emproxy which runs at 100% and locks up your
computer, if you do get an error after reboot Vista reports you have a
video driver error, but that's only because it didn't have any cpu
available to display graphics.
Try changing the powr settings to high performance from the balanced.
Always kep the drivers updated.
Use the good anti-virus softwae.
U can use kaspersky - you have to buy this.
And "Avast" - is a free one. you can register in their website 'www.avast.com' and they would give you a one year subscription for free for the home user.
Its very fast and won't even allow the malware and adware and trojans into your computer.

what I did was put the same email icon to my email services on my desktop computer and on my laptop,, that way if I'm on my desktop I can access all my email services or if I'm on my laptop I can still access the email icon, and I don't have a bit of problems accessing my email.
Create the menu tab on your homepage right click in the top toolbar you should see a number of toolbar options select the menu tab which will add File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help Select tools then from the tools drop down list select managed add ons toolbar extensions make sure the shock flash is enabled.
Right click on it select enable.
This will vary depending on which browser you have running
well to me i would have to find out the reason, i would deleted them or deactivate them, then try. now gonna give you a stupid thought but have to. is this a new lap top. if so does your maching come with a button or switch to activate the wireless network on machine. you take that from there
my opinion is to remove the possible cause from machine and try it , remember to reboot after removing any software or changes will not take effect
You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Tag label is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where the specific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Click on this link to download the drivers: - http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen
Maybe your problem is the vista is not really compatible in your laptop. There is a brand or type of processor that vista not really work well that's why some of my customer want to re install the windows xp to his new laptop to solve or to avoid some error occurs.
I was told there were free downloads from Nokia to solve this problem ----however
the donload would require using the Internet (on another laptop )----then burning
it on to a disk to transfer to my new latptop !
At the age of 94 with a little more money than skill or patience ---found another
remedy---buying a Nokia C-90 which provides me with the Nokia suite/Vista to load
on my new Laptop---
Who said Computers would be any different----making it easier on people of
lesser means ?
