NEED TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE YAHOO MY POP UP SERVER

I had a DSL land line account w/Verizon and closed it when the contract expired. I purchased a Verizon Broadband Access device and started an e-mail account using Yahoo as my email address. When I try to send e-mails that have attachments, they will not go through. A note appears telling me that my server is Verizon w/mmlynch63@verizon.net which was my previous e-mail address. I have spent alot of time trying to get results w/Verizon and the last person from Verizon I spoke with said I needed to contact Yahoo and they would take of the problem. Can you help me, please, please, please?

Sounds like you need to add a new profile to your email application at some piont in the very near future but you will have to have your mailbox moved over to Yahoo's only. Your email account with Sbc should remain accesible for up to 30 after closing it.

So, yes, you do need to contact Yahoo support for this so they can transfer your mailbox appropriately. Yahoo is rather infamous for being slow to respond so give them a day or so to get back to you. They should provide you with the instructions for changing your email profile if you use Outlook, Outlook Express or Thunderbird.

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'fkb@ameritech.net'. Subject '', Account: 'pop.attyahoo.com', Server:...

One problem is that the incoming (POP) mail server shown in the error message appears to be incorrect. The server address should be "pop.att.yahoo.com" (with a period between "att" and "yahoo"). The incorrect mail server address may interfere with authentication of the sender's email address, which is needed before the outgoing message is sent.

The "530 authentication" message indicates your outgoing (SMTP) server likely requires "server authentication". Also, the "Port 25" message indicates your email program is currently trying to send via Port 25, with no SSL; but Ameritech/Yahoo accounts appears to use Port 465 with SSL enabled.

See more on sever settings for "ameritech.net" users:

https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61941/~/i886---at%26t,-bellsouth,-sbcglobal,-ameritech-email-settings

I would suggest you check the settings for your Ameritech email account in your email program. You may need to correct several settings. The steps to access account settings are somewhat different for various email programs (Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, etc.). You should be able to find guidance in the "help" section of your email program.

All outgoing emails are not being sent-- It comes back and says--- the message could not be sent because the server rejected the senders email address. Server : outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net is correct. ...

Try using ....outgoing.verizon.net.....and port 587 instead of 25(default).
From the "Tools" menu, select "Accounts."
Select your Yahoo! POP account and click the "Properties" button.
Click the "Advanced" tab.
Next to "Outgoing server (SMTP)," change port 25 to 587.
Click "Apply." Then click "OK" and "Close."

I am trying to add an E-Mail account to my wifes yahoo account and it keeps asking for info on ISP. I need assistance as I do not know where to find incoming and outgoing codes.

ISP is your Internet Service provider.

You will need to use the SMTP and POP (or IMAP) server for your Internet company (Eg. If you have Verizon Internet, look for Verizon server, if you have Comcast, locate Comcast)

SMTP is outgoing mail. POP or IMAP is incoming mail. Use the lists below to locate your provider's server.

Here SMTP server list

Huge list of SMTP server settings D-K

Huge list of SMTP server settings L-S

Setting up a pop server

The normal yahoo account that you currently have when you signed for it by default is not capable for POP Mail. It's only good for web mail access. It can only be allowed to have POP access capability if you upgrade your existing yahoo mail account to Yahoo Mail Plus for the amount of 19.99 USD per year.
The following are the features of Yahoo Mail Plus - No Graphical ads - Offline access with POP - Filters - No account expiration - Live customer care - Mail forwarding - Address Guard/Disposable addresses
When you have yahoo mail plus enabled these are the settings on your email client
SMTP: smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com port 465 POP: pop.bizmail.yahoo.com port 110
Hope this helps . . .

Can receive but can't send email

I can receive but can't send mail using my POP mail client. Why? If you're able to receive but unable to send mail using your POP mail client (such as Outlook), please review the possible trouble areas below.
SMTP Server
In the fight against unsolicited commercial email (spam), some Internet service providers require their subscribers to send mail through the ISP's own SMTP servers. If you experience problems sending email, please contact your ISP to determine if it requires different SMTP server settings. You will need to use the ISP's SMTP server in place of Yahoo!'s SMTP server when configuring your POP mail client.
The following is a partial list of ISPs that require you to use their SMTP servers. If your ISP is among them, try replacing the Yahoo! SMTP server with the ISP server in your POP mail client settings, or consult the ISP's help files. (Learn more about configuring your client.) If your ISP does not appear in the list below, please contact your ISP directly for more information.
MSN smtp.email.msn.com NetZero smtp.netzero.net Verizon outgoing.verizon.net Earthlink/MindSpring Please visit its help pages AT&T Please visit its help pages Bell Sympatico Please visit its help pages SBC See below SBC Your SMTP settings will vary based on your account setup. Choose the SMTP setting that corresponds to the email address most like the one provided to you by your ISP.
you@ameritech.net smtp.ameritech.yahoo.com you@flash.net smtp.flash.yahoo.com you@nvbell.net smtp.nvbell.yahoo.com you@pacbell.net smtp.pacbell.yahoo.com you@prodigy.net smtp.prodigy.yahoo.com you@sbcglobal.net smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com you@snet.net smtp.snet.yahoo.com you@swbell.net smtp.swbell.yahoo.com you@wans.net smtp.wans.yahoo.com For more information about AT&T's SMTP requirements, please visit the AT&T help center or contact AT&T DSL support at 877-SBC-DSL5 (877-722-3755) or AT&T DIAL support at 866-SBC-DIAL (866-722-3425).
SMTP Port
If you have adjusted your SMTP server, and you're still experiencing a problem, you may need to use an alternate port. In an attempt to control spam, some Internet service providers now block port 25, which means you may need to use port 587 when sending email via Yahoo!'s SMTP server. Learn how to change ports.
Antivirus Protection
If you have Norton AntiVirus enabled on your computer, you may have to make configuration adjustments to use Outlook or Outlook Express. For more information, visit the Symantec web site.
Authentication
The Yahoo! SMTP server requires authentication. Learn more.
