Question about Pioneer AVIC-N3 Car DVD Player

1 Answer

AV1C-N3 problems I have the pioneer AV1C-N3 and I am having trouble with it saving any of my settings. Everytime I turn my car off, after 20 mins or so, all my setting will be erased. It sounds like it is a problem with the constant ground, but before i had the pioneer, I had a Panasonic dvd player in there and it saved settings just fine. I basically only swapped the decks out and didnt touch anything with the ground and its not working. Does anyone have any ideas on this? I would like my radio presets to save, as well as audio settings. thanks for your time

Yellow wire on back of pioneer unit is probably on wrong wire try switching it with the red wire ........yellow is constant power (saves memory time and last part of song or movie so when you get in the car again it will start from where it left off) if this doesn't work ground it to the car itself (black wire to frame not wire in-dash) try the wire switch first ........hope i was able to help

How do i play a dvd in pioneer avic-n3 while in motion

ready. ground the e brake. green wire. also because you have a pioneer(i do to) you will need to have a switch where the driver can reach cause every time you turn off your car (acc) then start again this switch needs to be ungrounded then re grounded let e know how it goes.

Its probably the ribbon cable between on the mechanism that flips out, you will have to get a repairer to do this. Try Pioneer support

Pioneer avic n3 doesn't play audio, but has button sounds

There is a built-in speaker for those tones inside the unit.
Seems as if your internal amplifier IS blown. It is probably cheaper - and will sound better to install a cheap 2 or 4 channel amplifier anyway.
The head units BOAST 50W per channel... but that is PEAK power. Most actually only produce 10-15W rms.
Replacing an output on the head unit will run you approximately $75 for the first... and $20 each additional. (up to 4)

You can get a great class a/b 2 or 4 channel amplifier for that price with built in crossovers and your sound will be 100x better!

You can't unless you plan on driving from the back seat. And there's a really good reason why. Sorry I can't help you.

Pioneer avic n1 video by pass but now doesnt work when i upgraded w n3 disc

I am pretty sure that pioneer does this so you cant bypass it. The n1, you just have to ground the parking brake wire, the n2 you have to solder the 2 points together under the piece of tape, the n3 you have to move over the switch on the side of the unit. Which all of these void your warranty anyway but I think that is why people eventually downgrade the the old dvds.
