Question about Singer CE-100 Futura Computerized Sewing Machine
My machine is less than a month old and i think it is broken.
The carriage does not automatically move to the standby position when the machine is turned on nor will the futura software 'transmit design to the machine'..... The connection in the machine part (where ebroidery unit connects to machine) wiggles- it a little loose. Is this normal? The unit is not an easy fit into the machine- a very poor design.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I have had similar problems in the past.
Do you hear a noise from the embroidery unit when the misalignment occurs ? If so, I suspect that your issue may be that you have some resistance under the hoop. Is there extra material that may be rubbing on the machine or catching somewhere. I have found that if I use some masking tape to keep all of the extra material from hitting any other parts of the machine or dragging under the edge of the hoop this error does not occur. FYI: I also stopped using the "optimize stitch speed" option at the same time. I believe that material dragging was causing the problem, but I still wonder about the stitch speed optimization feature.

"PC" symbols on the machine panel if it is not connected to PC and switched on is a normal behaviour.
As for communication failure try to remember whether something on your pc has been changed: windows upgrade, machine got connected to another usb port etc. If any of such changes have been made try to reinstall Futura software. Otherwise launch troubleshooting utility and send its report to futura-support.

Could one of you send me a copy of the Futura installation software? I can't find mine and can't use my machine to embroider! Help!

Most probably you have a pc with Windows 7 or Windows Vista/XP 64 bit that are supported since latest Futura software versions. For 64bit support you will need a version 126.96.36.199 and higher, for WIndows 7 support a latest update 188.8.131.52
