Question about Whirlpool Inglis IP4400 Washer
Inglis Superb Washer (ancient model) TO-44081, Serial number MK10295: the agitator only spins in spin mode, but not during normal washing. The agitator seems loose, the bottom bearing gone; it has lots of play when moved vertically; rust comes out from underneath the top cap. The agitator seems disconnected from the main rod, thus it does not move. Motor and belt seem OK. I cannot get the nut off that holds the agitator in place and I cannot find a replacement agitator (assembly).
I would look at the solinoids at the back and ensure they are engaging the spin on the tub..
