Re: Memory Card

Hi, You can try: Remove/reinsert the memory card; Follow page 74 of the users manual (display set-up menu, < or > till format function, choose xD-Picture Card, Pressing MENU/OK initializes the xD-Picture Card or internal memory. Initializing internal memory takes about 15 seconds. A reminder, The Format function erases all the frames (files), including protected frames (files). Back up important frames (files) onto your PC or another media. Hope this works for you. Pls post again how things turn up. Good luck and kind regards.

How do you erase all images on a Canon IXUS 1100 HS camera?

If all the pictures are on a memory card, format the memory card. If all the pictures are in the internal memory, remove the memory card (if installed) and format the internal memory.

Formatting wipes out all information from the memory card or internal memory and prepares it for further use. This is better than deleting individual pictures and will help prevent future troubles.

I have a nikon coolpix s60 and when i go to view the pictures, the screen turns black and i cant turn the camera off unless i pull the battery

What name brand memory card do you use? I recently discovered myself that Nikon only supports SanDisk, Toshiba, Panasonic and Lexar. Try taking out the memory card and take pictures without the memory card inside the camera. If you can view the picture saved onto the camera memory then you will know that all you need is a new memory card, with one of the above mentioned name brands. Hope this helps.

Polaroid Digital camera saying ''card protected'' and won't take any pictures at all.

Look on the left side of the card to see if there is a lock.

Memory card is full but there are no pictures on my camera.

Try using the "format" option in your camera's menu. That should wipe the card clean. There's probably a file or folder that the camera can't recognize as being one it created. You might also plug the card into a card reader and open it on a computer. The format option on the computer will also wipe the card clean to start fresh in the camera.

Invalid File...

There is quite probably some connection error between the memory card and the camera's memory card bay. Take a clean anti-static fabric (like the one we use to clean eye-glasses) and wipe the contacts of the memory card and those of the camera's memory card bay/slot (if you can reach them somehow).

Have you tried another card? If another memory card works, then it's obviously a problem of the specific card.

Using USB Plug, Transferred Photos to Computer and Deleted Them.. Says the pictures are still taking up room on memory card..

Try putting the card in the camera and in the menu, select 'FORMAT' this will totally wipe the memory card, ready for use. You will find plenty replacement cables on Ebay, for about £7.00-8.00
