For some devices you will have to load the device drivers first then connect the device by usb.  The device should have come with an installation cd.

Can i play SanDisk Sansa Fuze 2GB MP3 Player while charging

It depends. What's charging it?

If it's connected to a computer's USB port, then no, you can't listen to it.

If it's connected to a USB charger, such as you might find for cell phones, then yes, you can listen to it.

My sansa 2gb went dead now it wont charge @ all

It's either problem with the player or the charger if you usually charge it when you connect to the computer then it's more likely to be a problem on the player itself and it will have to be replaced ,if it has warranty then return it.
You can also try a different USB cable or USB port.

Mp3 2gb sansa veiw wont turn on... but charge screen will show up

Hi,

it seems that your player are corrupted.
it means some of your file are infected with virus and corrupted.

if you can try to reformat your player i suggest you to do it.

be aware that if you will going to reformat all files saved are possible to be deleted.

thanks,

My pc wont let me install new sandisk 2gb mp3 player

On your sansa, go to "Settings" then System Settings" then "USB Mode," then change it to MSC, if that does not work, try the other modes, just in case.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
Check for the following:

USB Cable
Make sure that the USB cable is properly plugged in and use the original cable.

Computer in Hibernation mode
Make sure the computer isn’t entering hibernate or sleep mode while the device is connected.  The computer must be on in order to charge your player.

USB Port 2.0
Make sure the player is connected USB 2.0 port (1.1 occasionally causes charging problems).

USB Port location
Try plugging in different USB port (i.e. USB port in the back of the computer); sometimes the front USB ports have problem charging up the device.

Battery
Make sure the battery is fully charged.  It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery.

Latest firmware
Make sure to update firmware by downloading and installing the Sansa Firmware Updater

You might have an old USB1.1 conection on your computer - that makes it many, many times slower then todays standard, USB2.0
